Resource Directory-This publication brought out in English and Hindi with the support of UNIFEM, bridges the information gap between women facing violence and services such as counseling, legal aid, alternative shelter, skill upgradation, rehabilitation and health services for them. This directory lists such services provided by government and non-government organizations in 48 districts of Madhya Pradesh for women in crisis situations.
Gender -This is a rapid gender assessment of water and sanitation services undertaken by Mahila Chetna Manch with support of UN-Habitat. The assessment highlights the critical need for gender disaggregated data in water supply and sanitation services and the importance of gender-sensitive indicators and gender audits for informed policies and strategies.
Mainstreaming Gender -This publication is a Gender Mainstreaming Strategy formulated by Mahila Chetna Manch for Water for Asian Cities Programme of UN-Habitat. It brings about critical linkages between gender mainstreaming, women’s empowerment, poverty reduction and Millenium Development Goals.
Mapping of Criminal Justice System in MP -MCM mapped the demand and delivery of Criminal Justice System in Madhya Pradesh with the support of UNDP under its Strengthening Acess to Justice Programme.It gives an insight into the problems of Criminal Justice System and experiences and perceptions of justice seekers and justice providers and civil society besides the review and analysis of the structures of Criminal Justice System in Madhya Pradesh.
The Law of Two Child Norm -This book seeks to examine the law of two-child norm for contesting Panchayat elections and to continue after being elected in the total context of rural women in traditional patriarchal society. It explores the consequences of its implementation in five states-Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Rajasthan.It also analyses its negative implications on the status of women, the precarious child sex ratio and women’s participation in governance.
Not By Choice -This is a study of child labour in urban informal sector in Bhopal taken up withn the support of ILO.It brings forth the invisibility, plight and needs of children engaged informal sector as labour in the capital city of the state of Madhya Pradesh despite being in the proximity of policy makers, concerned citizens and media.
